Free JSON API for the AkadTerm terminology database. No registration is required. Requests are allowed from any website.
AkadTerm is an independent, privately maintained citizen initiative. Until the end of 2018 it was the official database of the Terminological Commission of the Latvian Academy of Sciences. The Commission's current decisions are officially published at the National Terminology Portal of Latvia. Unlike that portal, AkadTerm also includes IATE and Microsoft terms, which increase its total size by 38%. In November 2026 AkadTerm held 616,636 Latvian terms (429,642 unique) and the public collections of the National Terminology Portal 486,491 (344,624 unique), making AkadTerm the largest term collection in Latvian.

Without q the API returns a collection page by page. For the next page, pass the response value next_after in the after parameter. The value null means the collection has been read.
