Definīcija: In Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), a router that is connected to the backbone area. This includes routers that are connected to more than one area (area border routers (ABRs)). However, backbone routers do not have to be ABRs. Routers that have all networks connected to the backbone are internal routers.
